ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

• The Nebraska Sportsmen's Foundation (NSF) was formed, as a not-for-profit 501(c)3, to be a liaison to the Nebraska Legislative Sportsmen's Forum (NLSF).
• The NSF and the NLSF was created through mutual concerns for the future of fishing, trapping, hunting and shooting traditions.
• The NSF consists of a nine member Executive Board, Advisory Council, members and sponsors.
• The Advisory Council will advise the NSF on issues of concern related to outdoor activities.
• The NSF, Advisory Council and NLSF will work towards an agenda to ensure that our rights and outdoor opportunities are protected for future generations.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The Nebraska Sportsmen's Foundation works on behalf of current and future generations to protect and guarantee the right to pursue the time-honored traditions of fishing, trapping, hunting and other related activities, for every Nebraskan, in eternity, through legislative action, public awareness and education.

THE NEBRASKA LEGISLATIVE SPORTSMEN'S FORUM

• The NLSF was established and modeled after the bipartisan Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus (CSC) in Washington D.C. and sports over 200 members from the House and Senate.
• The NLSF is comprised of over 20 State Senators who desire a better understanding of the issues facing Nebraska.
• The NLSF will become educated on the needs and rights of sportsmen and women ensuring the future of fishing, trapping, hunting and outdoor shooting sports.

A Word From Our Chairman...
The Nebraska Sportsmen's Foundation (NSF) represents most members of the hunting, fishing and trapping organizations and clubs in Nebraska. Our mission is simple. We work with these member groups and with the Nebraska Legislative Sportsmen's Forum (NLSF) to ensure that our family traditions of sporting activities are protected for future generations of Nebraskans. We believe hunting, angling, trapping and other related outdoor activities should not be controversial, since these are traditions that are rooted in the history of this state.
    Threats to these time honored traditions are real and there is no question that these anti-organizations are well funded and well organized. They are focused on one goal, which they have clearly stated -- and that is to end all hunting, fishing and trapping everywhere, period!
    Living in a state where these activities have long been taken for granted, it is easy to say this can't happen here... BUT it can! And the NSF is being pro-active in supporting this legislation just as several other states have enacted this same forum of legislation. Together, we can make a difference!
